Hardwax Oil
Hardwax oil based on natural oils and waxes, in matt and satin. The oil penetrates the wood instead of forming a layer on top, so the grain stays visible and tangible.
Oil or varnish?
A varnished floor has a film on top of the wood: crisp, but if it gets damaged you have to redo the whole board. An oiled floor can be touched up locally. In everyday use, that is the biggest difference.
Where to use it
Wooden floors, stairs, doors, walls, ceilings and window frames. Including oak, pine, spruce, beech, birch, maple, bamboo, cork and OSB. For interior and exterior use.
Application
With a brush or roller, in two coats. Allow 8 to 12 hours between coats and about 24 m2 per litre. Work at about 20 degrees and 50% humidity.
Matt or satin
Matt keeps the wood closest to its natural look; satin adds a little more depth. If you would rather have a varnish layer on the floor, take a look at clear floor varnish.
