Brushes

All paint brushes in this range come from Anza. Which one you need depends on two things: what kind of paint you are using and what shape you need to follow.

Water-based or solvent-based?

Water-based paint sets faster than solvent-based paint. The Super Soft brushes are designed for that. For stiffer solvent-based paint you need more firmness; those are the Super Tough and the Super Traditional. The Super Point works with both.

Flat, round or pointed?

A flat brush is for flat areas: doors, window frame stiles and skirting boards. A round brush handles profiles and corners a flat brush cannot reach. You use the pointed brush for precision work along glazing beads and glazing bars.

Awkward spots

The radiator brush with its long handle gets behind a radiator or between pipes. For large areas you do by brush there is the block brush. Both fit on an extension pole.

Ferrule and handle

The ferrule on all these brushes is fully sealed, so no paint or water creeps between the bristles and the wood. The handles are made of beech.

For a larger area, you will work faster with paint rollers.
