Engels Aqua PU Topcoat Satin
We tint paint to colour specially for your order. Made-to-order products like this cannot be returned. See our shipping and returns policy.
A durable, satin water-based topcoat for interior and exterior use. Low in solvents and low in odour, which is helpful in a lived-in home. Resistant to skin grease, scratch-resistant and with perfect flow.
What do you use this paint for?
As a finishing coat on wood, MDF, metal and plastic, provided they are properly pre-treated. Satin is the most popular sheen for interior doors and window frames: the light reflects more softly than with high gloss, so imperfections are less noticeable. You will notice the skin-grease resistance on door frames and stair handrails, where many hands touch.
Application
Preparation
Clean bare wood with Engels Degreaser and prime with Engels Aqua Primer. Sand and remove dust. For metal and plastic, use the Aqua Multiprimer. Flat the coats between layers with a sanding pad.
Applying
Stir well and preferably apply undiluted, by brush or roller. If desired, thin with Engels acrylic thinner. Clean tools with water.
Drying times and coverage
Dust-dry after approximately 1 hour and recoatable after 4 to 6 hours. Allow 10 to 12 m² per litre.
Colour and packaging
Available in 0.5, 1 and 2.5 litre, in white and in all colours of the CMS tinting system. With dark colours, the technical properties may differ slightly.
